The Holiday Half Marathon & 5K is hosted at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA. We are excited to be back and get ready for the most epic Festival Experience of the holidays. There will be more decorations than ever, with snow-covered mountains in the distance, and the Holiday Half Marathon & 5K gets everyone in the holiday spirit.
Half Marathon Start Line
All participants are required to follow standard race etiquette and position themselves at the start according to expected race pace. The fastest participants should go to the front, followed by progressively slower-paced participants. Runners with strollers are required to start in the back of the pack. The start line is located near the grandstands off Braodway and Redwood at the Fairplex in Pomona.
Corrals are open at 6:30am, Race Starts at 7:30am sharp
Half Marathon Race Pacing

A Snails Pace Running Club will be handling the pace groups for the Half Marathon participants. The Half Marathon pace groups are 1:30, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20 and 2:30. Each group will be led by an experienced leader who will run at a steady pace to help participants complete the half marathon at a particular time. Both pace teams are free for all registered participants, and sign-up lists will be available at the Health and Fitness Expo.
Course Time Limit
The overall time limit for the course is 3.5 hours. Please note that the course will have a rolling reopening that will be strictly enforced by the LA County Sheriff, La Verne Police, and Pomona Police Department. Participants will be required to pass certain points on the course by a specific time, or they will have the option to either be a pedestrian and obey all traffic laws or be moved up on the course by the Sweeper Vehicle.
Hydration/Nutrition Stations
There will be seven water stations on-course, set up approximately every mile to mile and a half beginning at Mile 2.5 at the following mile locations: 2.75, 4, 6, 7.5, 9, 10.5, and 12.
Water Stations will be supplied with cups of water.
Each station will have hand sanitizer stations before and after.
Mile Markers
Every mile will be marked with a large marker. For the non-GPS runners, these will be perfect for keeping track of your race pace.
