The Holiday Half Marathon starts and finishes in the main plaza of Fairplex So Cal, home of the LA County Fair. Runners do a small neighborhood loop before heading towards the oldest venue on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series circuit, the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. After a quick sprint down the drag strip (mile ~3.5), runners will exit the fairgrounds and head towards Frank G. Bonelli Park. On the way, they will pass the Brackett Airfield, home to Air Force Auxiliary Squadron 64. Miles 5 through 10 provide beautiful views of Puddingstone Lake and challenge runners with gently rolling hills. The return trip takes runners back by the airfield, once more down the drag strip, and into the fairgrounds for a fast finish.

The Pomona Valley is a naturally hilly landscape, but the course was designed to be as friendly to runners as possible. The course is not entirely flat and the highest elevation gain is 1046 feet.

The race time limit for the half marathon is 3 hours and 45 minutes from the 8:00 am start time. This time limit is based off of a 17 (17:11 to be exact) minute per mile pace. Participants who exceed the time limit will be allowed to continue on the course, but will be asked to continue the route as a pedestrian and will need to obey all traffic and safety laws.

Aid stations will be at miles 2, 3.5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

The Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center will have a medical team on site to staff the Medical Aid Stations, as well as the Main Medical Station at the Finish Line. Medical Aid Stations will be located at mile 4.5 and mile 9. Look for the Red Shirts on the course if you need any assistance.

Water stations will be at miles 2, 3/12, 4, 6.5, 7/8, 9.5 and 10.5.

Powerade will be served at miles 3/12, 4, 6.5 and 7/8.
